Obituary of Hope Bustin

Hope Bustin 103, of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, passed away June 26, 2006 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Mahone Bay, she was a daughter of the late Reuben and Phebe (Hamm) Hyson and the last surviving member of a family of eleven. She was a graduate of Provincial Normal College and taught school in Mahone Bay, Truro and Bridgewater. She also operated the Little Red Hen Kindergarten for a number of years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church and took part in many activities of the Guild. She is survived by step daughter, Edythe (Robert) Brown, Annapolis; eleven step grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Bustin; step sons, Arthur and Lloyd; brothers, Charles, Willoughby, Hughie; sisters, Joy (her twin), Audrey, Avora, Hazel Whynot, Myrna, Rhea (Dolly) King, Lela Reiser. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. A memorial service will be held 11am Thursday July 13 in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater, Father Robert Coote officiating. No flowers by request.
