Obituary of Edna Veinot

Edna Elizabeth Veinot Of Bridgewater, passed away May 21, 2001 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Pleasant River, she was a daughter of the late Sylvanus and Alva (Herman) Veinot. Edna was the Post Mistress in Pleasant River, a clerk at N. F. Douglas Store in Caledonia and housekeeper at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church Rectory in Halifax until her retirement in 1998. She is survived by her niece Carol Gould, Bridgewater; a nephew Gary Rhindress, Courtenay, B.C.; great niece Vicki (Leo) Blinn; Lori Gould; great nephew Michael Drew ( Sandy and Nikki O’Melia); great great nephews Daniel and Stephen Blinn, all of Bridgewater and special friend, Father Jack Hayes, Dartmouth. She was predeceased by her sisters, Inez Rhindress, Florence Dauphinee and nephew David Rhindress. Visitation will be held Friday in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater from 10am to 11am and at which time funeral service will be held, Father Jack Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Lake View Cemetery, Pleasant River. Donations may be made to the N. S. Lung Association or the charity of choice.
