Obituary of Basil Freeman Morton

of Basil Freeman Morton 80, of Hebbville, passed away Sunday 10 August in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in New Germany on October 22, 1927, he was the son of the late Leo and Maude Morton. Basil is survived by his daughter Diane Morton (Gregory Nauss), Hebbville; sisters Glenda Ramey, New Germany; Vera Fancy, Northfield and Hazel in Digby; grandchildren Lisa, Scott, Matthew and Sheena; great grandson Alexander along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Bernard and sister Beulah Lohnes. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and from where the funeral service will be held 2 PM Thursday, Rev Ivan Norton officiating. Burial will follow in Epworth Community Cemetery, New Germany. Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations in Basil’s memory may be made to the family.
