Obituary of Willard Mosher

Willard "Bill" Glendon Mosher 75, Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 8, 2006 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Parkdale, he was a son of the late Roy and Althea (Awalt) Mosher. He retired from the Iron Ore Company of Canada in July 1990, after 33 years of service. Bill worked in Shefferville, Quebec, prior to moving to Labrador City, Nfld. Since retiring to Bridgewater, Bill very much enjoyed fishing and hunting with old friends and devoted himself to gardening, planting shrub roses and flowering bushes all around his property. Bill also loved his fruit trees and vegetable garden and loved sharing the bounty of his garden with friends and family. Bill is survived by his wife, Ruby (Parsons) of 42 years; three children, Patricia Mosher (Igor Dmytryk), Ottawa; Carolyn (Patrick) Gaines, Vancouver; Robert (Lisa Emery), Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Natasha and Chelsea Dmytryk; sisters, Melba Sarty, Bridgewater; Iris Rafuse, Scarsdale; Edna Grimm, Parkdale. He was predeceased by his brother, Harry. There will be no visitation at the funeral home by request. Memorial service 2 p.m. Friday in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, York Street, Bridgewater. Rev. Clayton Austin officiating. Interment of ashes will follow at a later date in Oakridge Memorial Garden’s, Lower Sackville.
