Obituary of Robert MacLeod

RETIRED DARTMOUTH FIREFIGHTER DIES Robert MacLeod 67, Lower Branch, formerly of Dartmouth, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2006 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Dartmouth, he was a son of the late Dr. Alexander and Dorothy (Beazley) MacLeod. Bob was a former employee of the Halifax Fire Services, having retired after 30 years of service. He was a man who loved life, a good laugh, a good cup of Tim’s coffee and he loved his music and pets. He is survived by his wife, the former, Carole Keeping; children, Berk (Kelly) Hatcher, Cole Harbour; Traci (Dwight) Whynot, Branch LaHave; grandchildren, Victoria Hatcher, Joshua Whynot. He was predeceased by his first wife the former Lauria Cross; sister, Sandra MacLeod. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater where visitation will be 7 – 9 p.m. Wednesday and 1-3 p.m. Thursday with memorial service at 3 p.m. Rev. James Haughn officiating. A private family interment at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Branch LaHave.
