Cassie Leona "Kay" Ramey

88, New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away Monday, December 4, 2006, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Hemford, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Fannie (Zinck) Veinot.

She was a member of St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany, where she was a member of the former altar guild and ACW. Prior to retirement, she was an employee of Suttles and Seawinds and later, DeLong’s Farms Ltd.

Surviving are her daughters, Shirley (Chester) Lantz, Pinehurst; Janet (Gary) Tipert, New Germany; son, Vance (Sherry) Ramey, New Germany; grandchildren, Blair Lantz, Benton Lantz, Bonita Lantz-Carter; Nicole Brown, Adam Tipert; L. Lee Ramey, Amber Ramey; great grandchildren, Joshua and Madison Brown; brother, Guilford, New Germany; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by husband, Lemage Harding; brothers, Lester, Harry, Hennigar.

Visitation 7 – 9 p.m. today in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 Route 10, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, Rev. Anna Hoeg officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, Victorian Order of Nurses or a charity of choice.
