Wayne Freeman Selig
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Wayne Selig on May 7, 2006 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born September 5, 1948 in Bridgewater, he was a son of late Gladys Mae and Louis Selig Sr. Wayne was a very skilled worker and had owned many businesses over the years such as his own taxi company, pool hall, second hand shop, antique shop and his latest, Vintage Auctioneering. Wayne loved his family deeply and loved spending time with them at his camp bus on Ohio Road, Lunenburg Co. He was an avid ATVer and hunter. Surviving are his loving wife, Diane, Bridgewater; sons, Tommy (Liza), Tantallon, Jamey (Mandy), Hammonds Plains; the apple’s of his eye, grandchildren, Devan, Dylan, Joshua, Logan, Jenny; sisters, Harriet Farmer, Audrey Joudrey, Kitty (Blair) Zinck, Janice (Cedric) Ernst, all of Bridgewater; Charlotte (Reg) Rafuse, Milton; Jeanette (Darrel) Dorey, Elmwood; Edith Tanner, LaHave; Debbie (John) Beck, Auburndale; brothers, Doug (Anne), Louis (Sandra), all of Bridgewater; Johnny (Milly), Hemford; Arnie (Joyce), New Canada; Jimmy (Sandy), Ontario. He was predeceased by sister, Ruth Conrad, infant grandson, Tristan Thomas. Visitation, 12 - 2 p.m. Thursday, in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater with funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater. Rev. Ron Appleton officiating. No flowers by request, donations may be made the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, IWK Children’s Health Centre or charity of choice.
