Obituary of Sgt. Gordon Urquhart

Sgt. Gordon Douglas Urqhart, CD (Ret'd) It is with deep sadness and sorrow that the family of SGT (Ret'd) Gordon Douglas Urquhart C.D. 69, of West LaHave, Lunenburg County, announce his peaceful death, surrounded by his family at the South Shore Regional Hospital on Oct 5th, 2006. Gordon was born in Midland NB. He was the son of the late Medley and Lena (Ross). Gordon served 23 years in the military RCAF and 19 years with the DND. He had a deep appreciation of his grandchildren and always had time to spend with them. His passion was with gardening and woodworking. Although his presence will be forever missed, his spirit lives on in our hearts. Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Joan (Stillman), a daughter Cheryl Frauzel (Arthur), their children Benjamin and Sarah, and a son Christopher, his wife Sharon and their daughter Olivia. Two brothers, Fred and Ross (Lois) and three sisters, Phyllis Armstrong (Calvin), Norma Smith, and Gale Goddard (Bob). The funeral service will be held Saturday Oct 7th, 2 pm at St. Peters Anglican Church in West LaHave, Rev. David Phillips officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeney's Funeral Home in Bridgewater. Cremation has taken place. No flowers by family request.
