Obituary of Margaret Veinotte

Margaret Ellen Veinotte 88, Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, passed away, Monday, October 9, 2006 in Harbour View Haven Nursing Home, Lunenburg where she had been residing. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late William Andrew and Sarah Edith (Cahoon) Richardson. Margaret was a lifelong member of the Bridgewater United Baptist Church. She was well known throughout the community as a highly skilled seamstress. After her "retirement" Margaret happily spent countless hours altering clothes for her many friends and family members. Margaret is to be remembered by all those who knew her as a kind and caring individual who always gave of herself to help those around her. Whether it was driving neighbors to their appointments, delivering meals on wheels or baking one of her famous apple pies , Margaret, Mrs. V, Mom, Nanny will be sadly missed by all who were touched by her generosity and warm smile. Surviving are her daughter, Myrna Selig; son, Tom (Valerie), Mount Pearl, Newfoundland. Grandchildren, Wade (Karen Geddes-Selig); Denise Selig, both of Bridgewater; Josh Veinotte, currently serving in Afghanistan with the Canadian Armed Forces; Ellie Veinotte; Jenny Veinotte, both of Mount Pearl. Great grandchildren, Brooke Battiste, Bailey Battiste, Fletch Selig, Scout Selig. She was predeceased by husband, Fletcher “Doc” Veinotte; sister, Lidy Baker; brother, Pennell Richardson; son in law, Eric Selig. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Service 11 a.m. Friday in Bridgewater United Baptist Church, Bridgewater. Rev. Eric Campbell officiating. Private family burial in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
