Obituary of Alice Weaver

Alice May Weaver 98, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2006 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born February 18, 1907 in New Germany, she was a daughter of the late Melbourne and Mary (Mossman) Leary. She was a former resident of Falkland Ridge and later years a resident of Pleasant Rest Home, Bridgewater. She was a member of the Falkland Ridge Baptist Church, Springfield Women’s Missionary Society and the Senior Citizen’s Club. Surviving are her son, Chester, Falkland Ridge; daughter, Margaret, Dartmouth; a granddaughter, Patty (Ted Llewellyn), Cambridge; grandson, Glen (Ivy) Weaver, Scarborough, Ont; great grandsons, Rod and Alex Llewellyn, Cambridge. Brother, George; sister, Gladys, both of New Germany. Sister in law, Margaret Leary, Brantford, Ont; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman; son, Glenwood; brothers, Max and Melbourne. Visitation 7 – 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday in Springfield United Baptist Church, Springfield. Pastor Robert Gates officiating, Pastor Jack Hooper, assisting. Private family interment will follow in Falkland Ridge Cemetery, Falkland Ridge. A reception will be held in the Springfield United Baptist Church vestry.
