Franklin Otto Webber
87, Of Dartmouth, formerly of New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 in Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth. Born in Scarsdale, he was a son of the late Adam and Ella (Mossman) Webber. He served 5 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. The majority of his working career was as a millwright at the former Zwicker Brothers Mill, New Germany, he then worked for the Nova Scotia Department of Highways, where he retired. His gardens were known to many and he took great pride in the quality vegetables he could consistently grow. He was a member of the Barss Corner United Baptist Church, Barss Corner. He will be sadly missed by his devoted wife of 64 years, the former Jean Veinot; son, Charles (Sue), Dartmouth; grandchildren, Natalie (Joel); Nathan (Shauna); great grandchildren, Kaitlin and Alexander. Sisters, Thurza London, Hartland, NB; Zella Burns, New Germany; Thelma Pierce, Halifax; Gertrude Veinot, New Ross; E. Marie Snyder, Hemford; brother, Leroy, Barss Corner; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son; Frankie at age 4; twin sisters at birth; sisters, Susan and Francis Hubley. No visitation at the funeral home by request. The family invite friends to visit them an hour prior to the funeral service which will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Barss Corner United Baptist Church, Barss Corner. Rev. Jennifer Joudrey and Rev. Norman Hovland officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations to Barss Corner United Baptist Church or Cemetery Funds.
