Obituary of Evelyn Zub

Evelyn Margaret Zub 83, Miller Cove Road, Pentz, Lunenburg County, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2006 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, with her loving husband, Walter, by her side. Born in Liverpool, she was the first daughter of the late Edward and Ellen (Lannon) Whalen. She is survived by her son, George, Flin Flon, Manitoba; sisters, Dorothy (Malone), Liverpool; Janette (Deganis), Halifax; Betty (Pennell), St. John’s NFLD; Barbara (Peterson), Digby Co., brothers, Bill, Bridgewater; Jim, Liverpool; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Mary (Rafuse); brothers, George, John. Cremation has taken place with visitation for family and friends at 2 p.m. Thursday, followed immediately with a memorial service at 3 p.m. all in Sweeny’s Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater. Rev. Paul Jensen officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Trinity Anglican Church Cemetery, White Point Road. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to Alzheimers Society of Nova Scotia or charity of choice. The family would like to pay special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Q.E.
