Obituary of Faye Zwicker
Faye Carolyn Zwicker
58, Of Head of St. Margaret’s Bay, passed away at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax on Thursday, March 9, 2006 after a three year battle with cancer. She was the former Faye Carolyn Veinot, daughter of Percy Raymond and Barbara Kathleen (Darr) Veinot, West Northfield. Besides her parents she is survived by her husband of 35 years, David Paul; children, Gregory David and Lesley Anne, both at home; brothers, Garth (Janice); Richard, both of West Northfield; Gary (Dora), Wentzell Lake; several nieces. Faye was an avid gardener and treasured her time amongst her flowers. She enjoyed cross-stitch, water color painting, cooking and baking. She was a member of St. Luke’s United Church as well as the St. Margaret’s Bay Chapter of the Canadian Association for Community Living. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Daniel Rayson, Barb Grant, RN and the palliative care team at the QEII Health Sciences Centre for their exceptional care and support through this difficult journey. Visitation will be 7-9 pm, Sunday at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in St. Luke’s United Church, Tantallon, Rev Carolyn Palmer officiating, Rev. Joan Conrad, assisting. Visitation will be held one hour at the church prior to the service, and a reception will follow the funeral. Internment will take place at 2p.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery, West Northfield In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Cancer Centre or a charity of your choice.
