Obituary of Virginia Baker

Virginia Evangeline Baker 64 of Pleasantville, Lunenburg County, passed away February 23 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Liverpool on 6 May, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Genavie (Wamboldt) and Laurie Dagley. Virginia had a great love for many things but mostly her family, animals, flowers, music and camping. She is survived by her husband Philip Fraser; daughters Lucy Hull, West Northfield; Tina (Michael) Parrott, Newfoundland; Shirley Baker, Bridgewater; sister Loretta (Gerald) Robar, Chelsea; brothers Pearly (Susanne) Dagley, Winsor; Charles (Gene) Dagley, Winsor; Willard (Donna) Dagley, West Dublin; grandchildren Alicia, Mallory, Joseph, Marry Ann and Josh; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Ernam Baker in 1988. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and from where the funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Burial will follow at the Peaceful Hill Cemetery, Mount Pleasant. Flowers accepted, memorial donations in Virginia’s memory may be made to S.H.A.I.D., Heart and Stroke Foundation or any charity of your choice.
