Obituary of Eugene Harold McKean

Eugene Harold McKean - 79, Pinehurst, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at South Shore Regional Hospital Bridgewater. Born in Pinehurst, he was a son of the late Ralph and Gertrude (Bruhm) McKean. Prior to retirement, he was employed with Zwicker’s Box Factory, New Germany; MacKenzie Bus Lines, Bridgewater and Canexel Hardboard Plant, East River, he was a member of New West Pine United Church, Pinehurst. Surviving are daughters, Barbara (David) Ramey, Pinehurst; Sharon (Ivan) Veinot, Scarsdale; son, Peter (Darlene), Pinehurst; sisters, Irene Holdright, Bridgewater; Betty Spicer, Kingston, Ont; Joanne Chaisson, Wentzell Lake; grandchildren, Corey, Lori, Heidi, Shawn, Crystal; great grandchildren, Taylor, Riley, Charlie, Grace, Colby; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, the former, Leola Grace Oickle; brothers, Bruce, Douglas; grandson, James. Visitation 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral 2 p.m., Monday in New West Pine United Church, Pinehurst. Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Burial to follow in Pinehurst Community Cemetery, Pinehurst.
