Arthur Sidney Brown
80, of Lower Branch, Lunenburg County, passed away February 19, 2007 at home. Born in Stellarton, he was the son of the late A. Sidney and Elizabeth (Cullen) Brown. He graduated from Stellarton High School and moved to Bridgewater with Atlantic Wholesalers. He was raised in Keith Masonic Lodge #23 Stellarton, a Past Master Acacia Lodge #39, Bridgewater, Past High Priest LaHave Chapter #17, a member of Adoniram Council #10, a past T.I.M. of E.B.N. Cochran Council #18, Antiguity Preceptory #5, Mount Zion Preceptory #73, Rupert H. MacNeil Conclave #30, Royal Valley York Rite College #165, St. Andrews Tebernacle #85, W. G. Young Lodge of Royal Arch Mariners, Philae Temple and Past President of the South Shore Shrine Club. He was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Bridgewater having served on Council and then as Warden. He is survived by sons, Eric, Bridgewater; Jeffrey (Angie), Lower Northfield; daughter, Cynthia, at home; grandchildren, Crystal Brown, Chester; Troy Brown, Lunenburg; Erica (Mike) Reddaway, England; David Russell, Lunenburg; Jude Brown, Lower Branch; Benjamin Brown, Lower Northfield; great granddaughter, Kirstin Brown, Lunenburg. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Eleanor Thompson, son, Gregory Visitation will be held Wednesday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater with a Masonic service being held at 6:30pm. Funeral service will be held 10:30 am Friday in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Bridgewater, Father Ron Appleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, West Northfield. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children’s Fund Philae Temple (P O Box 9050 Stn A, Halifax, B3K 5M7) or Holy Trinity Parish Hall Fund.
