Obituary of Claude Drillio

Claude Reginald Drillio 83, Wentzell Lake, Lunenburg County, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2007 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Gordon and Margaret (Doyle) Drillio. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served as a paratrooper instructor at Camp Shilo, Manitoba. He was a retired employee of Nova Scotia Power having worked for 25 years. Surviving are his wife, the former C. Joan Manolopoulos; daughters, Sharon Drillio Oakley, Truro; grandson, Adam Oakley, Edmonton, Alb.; Clint Oakley (Julie Locke), Truro. He was predeceased by sisters, Eileen Jones, Gertrude McGillivary, Madeline (Sister Mary Gordius); brothers, Edward, Douglas.Visitation 7 – 9 p.m. Monday in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral mass 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater. Msgr. Father William Wamboldt officiating. Cremation will follow.
