Obituary of Clyde Getson

Clyde Arnold Getson 85, Bridgewater, passed away November 2, 2007 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in LaHave, he was a son of the late Eldon and Mary (Publicover) Getson. He was a veteran of the Second World War where he was a POW for 4 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24 Bridgewater for 50 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret LeGay; brothers, Raymond (Marie), LaHave; Ralph (Evelyn), Upper LaHave. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held Sunday from 7 to 9pm with a public legion tribute service being held at 7pm, all in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater and from where funeral service will be held 11am Monday. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, West Dublin. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24 Bridgewater Poppy Fund.
