Obituary of Murray Grant

Murray John Grant 84, Halifax, formerly of Bridgewater, passed away September 28, 2007 in the Q E II Health Sciences Center, V G site, Halifax. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late G. Angus and Leafy (Vidito) Grant. He was a veteran of the Second World War. Together with his wife, Norma, they owned and operated M and N Automotive Supply in Bridgewater from 1972 until the mid 80’s. He is survived by his sons, Richard, (M. T.), Hammonds Plains; David, Toronto; grandsons, Murray Grant and Liam Grant; brothers, Harold, Wainfleet, Ont.; Angus (Tillie), Port Coquitlan, B.C.; Douglas (Lauretta), Welland, Ont.; George (Maxine), Lawrencetown, Anna. Co.; sisters, Daisy Harris, Margaretsville; Peggy McGregor, Grimsby, Ont.; Shirley Houghton, Greenwood; Anna (Murray) Banks, Middleton. He was predeceased by his wife, Norma (Seamone); brothers, Gerald and Everett. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7 to 9pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 1:30pm Wednesday in the Bridgewater Baptist Church, Rev Eric Campbell officiating. Private family burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
