Obituary of Joan Aldridge Feener

FEENER, Joan Aldridge (Dalgleish) – Age 85, of Lunenburg, formerly of Pleasantville, passed away March 8, 2017 at Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Maude (Crouse) Dalgleish. In November 1953 she married her husband Dr. Melvin G. Feener. In September, 1960 they adopted their daughter Anne and in 1967 they adopted their daughter Patricia. While living in Middleton, she was a member of the I.O.D.E. and the U.C.W. She is survived by her daughters, Anne (David) Mason, Ottawa; Patricia Eisenhauer, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Nigel and Nicole; and great grandchildren, Tyler and Samantha. She was predeceased by her husband, Mel and her brother, Bill. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Bridgewater United Church, 87 Hillcrest Street, Bridgewater, Reverend Ron Frampton officiating. Reception will follow in the church hall. Interment in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia, MS Society of Nova Scotia, Brain Aneurysm Foundation of Canada, or the charity of your choice.
