We wish to offer out sincere sympathy to Vivian's family. Vivian was such a warm and lovely lady. We always enjoyed our chats when we would see her. She was a blessing to the community and will be sadly missed.We appreciated the many visits made by her and Chris when Ron and Edna were in the nursing home. Ron and Edna were always so happy to see them and bring them memories of home.

Dear Rafuse Family,
Like so many others, I am sad to learn of the death of your dear Mother, Grandmother and Aunt. Vivian was a kind and compassionate woman and a friend to all who knew her. She has left each of us with happy memories of the way she touched our lives and, in that way, she will continue to live on. She was in charge of our wedding reception when Angus and I were married and over the years we have always remained in touch with her. Whenever we returned to NS we always liked visiting with her and she remained interested in what was going on in our lives.
In the more recent past I have appreciated her kindness to Mom and Aunt Iris as their health has deteriorated. She always tried to be an encouragement to them and, on occasion, she would drop me a note to report on her latest visit with Mom. Never a Christmas passed without a card and personal note from Vivian. That is just the kind of person she was and why she will be missed so much by all of us who called her our friend.
My sincere wish for each of you is that in the coming days and months, as you learn how to live your lives without Vivian, the loving support of your Family and Friends will be a constant source of encouragement. There is a void in your lives that will never be filled. Try to live your own lives with the same grace and love that Vivian did and in that way you will continue to honour her. I so much would like to be at her memorial service on Tuesday but, since I live in Ontario, that is simply not possible. I will, however, make a memorial donation in her memory to the Parkdale Baptist Church which she faithfully attended and supported for many, many years.
