Obituary of Marjorie Magdalene Varner

VARNER, Marjorie Magdalene – Age 90, of Stanburne, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 10, 2017. Born in Farmington, she was a daughter of the late Orman and Louetta (Crouse) Baker. Surviving are her daughter, Darlene (Arol) Wentzell, New Germany; sons, Francis (Jennifer); Laurie, all of Barss Corner; grandchildren, Jordan, Reannyn, Jolene, Elaina, James, Jonathan, Thomas, Nathan; great-granddaughter, Alanna; brothers, Carmen; Loran (Irene), all of Farmington; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Homer Ray Varner; sons, Matthew and Ralph; sisters, Blanche Slack, Bertha Eisener, Beatrice Taylor, Bernice Robar, Mary in infancy; brothers, Angus, Frank, John, Lovatt and Francis in infancy. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Thursday, April 13 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 route 10, New Germany. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, April 15 in Barss Corner Baptist Church, Barss Corner, with Rev. Sam Jess and Rev. Jennifer Varner officiating. Interment will follow in Barss Corner Community Cemetery, Barss Corner.
