Obituary of Amanda Celetus Robar

ROBAR, Amanda Celetus – Age 37 of Chester, Lunenburg Co., passed away at Bonny Lea Farm, Chester, where she was residing for the past eleven years. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of Melvin “Mellie” Robar, New Germany and the late Sharon (Robar) Robar. Amanda is well known for her cheery disposition and her love of people. Amanda always enjoyed attending concerts, camp, Special Olympic swim competitions, where she just recently participated at Acadia, Wolfville, winning a second, third and fourth place ribbons; she has also participated as a walker in the Blue Nose Marathon. Amanda enjoyed helping in the kitchen where she was part of the morning cafeteria crew and making sure every detail was attended to, she also enjoyed spending her time in the greenhouse where she would prepare produce for the Friday market and has also worked as a vendor. Amanda was a great communicator and had a super sense of humour. Besides her father, she is survived by brothers, Corey (Belinda), North River; Shawn, Cambridge Village; maternal grandfather, Ira Robar; nephew, Mason Robar and niece, Addison Robar and her extended Bonny Lea Farm family. She was predeceased by her mother; maternal grandmother, Georgina Robar; paternal grandparents, Lorne and Celetus Robar. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, April 18 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 Route 10, New Germany and where service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 19. Rev. David Whynot officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, North River. Flowers from the family only, donations may be made to Bonny Lea Farm.
