Obituary of James Albert Veinot
VEINOT, James “Jim” Albert – Age 68 of Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 27, 2017 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Lunenburg, he was the son of the late Cecil and Linda (Bachman) Veinot.
Jim was a successful musician who traveled with his wife, Kelli, throughout Canada with their band Silver Rain. He later returned with his wife to Springfield and Wentzell Lake to raise a family. Jim was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He was full of laughter and made everyone around him smile. There was never a dull moment when Jim was around. He was involved in the Springfield Baptist Church and later attended Bridgewater Baptist Church. From 1980 to present, Jim and Kelli performed gospel concerts throughout Atlantic Canada. Jim was a part-time real estate investor, silver culture contractor and school bus driver.
Surviving are his wife, Kelli Veinot, Bridgewater; daughters, Sarah (Kirk) Smith, Conquerall Bank; Mary Jayne (Kyle) Wyman, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Bella Smith, Ethan Smith, Zander Wyman; sisters, Janice (Philip) Wentzell, Berwick; Rosemary (Gerald) Hebb, Bridgewater; step-mother, Ethel Veinote, Bridgewater; mother-in-law, Thelma Kelly, Bridgewater; nieces, Holly, Krystal, Katelyn; nephew, Tyler.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, May 2 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Service of Remembrance will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 3 in Bridgewater Baptist Church, Bridgewater with Rev. Dr. Brian MacArthur officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bridgewater Baptist Church, The Gideon Bible Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or charity of choice.
