Obituary of Margaret Marie Frauzel

FRAUZEL, Margaret Marie - Age 91, passed away at Harbour View Haven Nursing Home, Lunenburg on Sunday, May 28, 2017.She was a daughter of the late J. Ellard and Arleen (Tompkins) Joudrey.She is survived by sisters, Marion Croft, Liverpool; Betty Nauss, Sweetland; daughter, Jane Frauzel, Arizona;sons,John, Lunenburg and Steve, Italy; grandsons,Brad Thompson, David, Michael “Derek”, John Charles “Charlie”, Simon; granddaughters,Anna McGinty, Flavia, Sabina and Alisa;great-grandson, Lorenzo Riva and great- granddaughters,Costanza Riva, Alessio Riva, Kelly and Alison Potter; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, John; brothers, George "Sonny", William "Billy", Fenwick "Fennie", Robert “Robbie”, Earl, an infant brother; half-brothers, George, Hector, Ellard; sisters Joan Daniels, Gloria Lounder and Barbara Oickle.She grew up in Bridgewater, graduated from Bridgewater High School and taught school briefly in Chelsea. Mother, musician and missionary, she was devoted to her family, led high school, community and church choirs and with her husband John served two missions for her church, in Newfoundland and Minnesota. She found great joy in her faith and it was a source of comfort to her. She loved planning healthy meals and hosting dinners for family and friends. She was recognized by the Canadian Cancer Society for many years of dedicated service.Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Sunday, June 4 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, June 5 in the Bridgewater Latter Day Saints Church, 337 Aberdeen Road, Bridgewater.Bishop John Caulfield officiating.Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Chelsea.
