Alice, Jill, Craig & family,
I was shocked to hear of Billy's passing. It was only recently that my daughter Jenn and I had a great chat with Alice and Bill on King St. Jenn was very upset when I told her the news.
I have known Billy for many years. He was always a genuinely caring and concerned person, willing to help in any way he could, whether it be on a community or individual basis. I respected him. And certainly enjoyed the animated discussions we had whenever we met.
He will be missed by many.

I am so sorry about this. Bill was a fine man, and you will miss him terribly.
My favourite story about Bill was back in the Fall of 1987. My wife, Deborah, and I had just moved to Nova Scotia for my year of Internship at St. Paul's church in Bridgewater. We woke up one morning to find our car battery had died, so someone suggested I call Bill to replace it. He drove a battery over to the house, installed it, and left before I even had a chance of *offer* to pay for it. He didn't want a big deal made out it; he simply wanted to offer it as a gift.
Bill and I had other conversations, over that Internship year, and over other years as well. But I always enjoyed then, in large part because I could not think of him without remembering his generosity and welcome on that first occasion.
May God's peace be with you as you go through this very difficult time.

I am so saddened by the news of Billy's passing. He was such a wonderful, man, person and a mechanic second to none. We always laughed about jokes when i would see him at the hospital from time to time and always laughed when we met up, mostly talking about Dodge's.
