Obituary of Lester Leon Whynot

WHYNOT, Lester Leon – Age 93, Branch LaHave, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Branch LaHave, he was an only child of the late Gordon and Mildred (Whynot) Whynot.

Lester has been a car enthusiast all of his life and was a founding member of the Coastal Cruisers Car Club, Bridgewater; he was a member of the Lunenburg County Fiddlers Club and an honorary member of the Rosedale New Horizon’s Seniors Club, New Germany. Lester loved to bowl. Surviving is his wife, Ethel Marie (Meisner) Whynot; son, Dwight (Traci) Whynot and grandson, Joshua, all of Branch LaHave; many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home by personal request. Funeral service 1 p.m., Friday, December 15th in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater with Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Private family interment will take place in Hillside Cemetery, Branch LaHave.
