Obituary of Errol Philip Jodrey
JODREY, Errol Philip – Age 65, passed away peacefully, November 17, 2017 in Victoria Hospice, B.C., after a courageous one year battle with lung cancer. Born in Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., on July 13, 1952 he was a son of Muriel “Kitty” and the late Philip R. Jodrey, Watford.
He graduated from New Germany Rural High School. Even though Errol lived and worked in Victoria for over 40 years, Watford was always “home”. Never forgetting his family and friends back east, he always enjoyed his visits home. Errol was a kind gentle man, willing to help anyone. Model trains and collecting antique toys were his hobbies. Errol had many kind supportive friends, neighbours and co-workers who helped and cared for him, along with many health care professionals. He worked at various trucking and courier jobs over the past 17 years, and was currently employed with Dynamix Courier, Victoria, BC.
He is survived by his sons, Sean and Philip, both of Victoria, BC; mother, Muriel; sister, Ronna (Aubrey); nieces, Denette (Mason), Natalie (Joe); great nephews, Matthew and William and other extended family members. He was predeceased by father, Philip and numerous family members; former wife, Lee. In Honouring Errol’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A private interment will be held in Barss Corner Community Cemetery, Barss Corner. Donations may be made to the charity of choice.
