Phyllis, I did not know your mother, however I feel I know her now, and know you better, after reading your beautifully written obituary. A life well lived, surrounded and helped by family. What could be better. A good mother leads the way and that's what I saw in you many years ago. Now I know from where it came.
I'm sorry for the loss you all are experiencing yet strangely at the same time I'm filled with joy to learn of your time together. Fortunate and blessed.

Phyllis, Eric, Emily and family
So sorry to hear of Bea's passing.
I always enjoyed talking to Bea whether it be at a function at the Fire Dept. in the past or when visiting Queens Manor.
We always spoke about her participation in the dinner theatre at the fire hall and how much she enjoyed it.
Deepest sympathy

To Phyllis, Eric & family,
Thinking of you all at this time. It was a real pleasure to know your Mom Bea for many
wonderful years. She taught me so many things about quilting, making short bread the Scottish way, planting flowers, the names of her many flowers she had planted over the years. We had many walks down at Dewar's Inn Prescott Ontario along the St. Lawrence River, where many of her planted got planted over there. We used to sing together down along side the river. She was an inspiration to me & my family. She Blessed me in so many ways. Rest in Peace Bea.
Condolences to you & your whole family.

To Phyllis, Eric,
It was such a pleasure to know your Mom for the past 28 years. Living close by to Bea over the many years, was a joy for me to visit her at her home along the St. Lawrence River just outside of Prescott Ontario, across the river was Ogdensburg NY. She was a very amazing woman that could do anything. Her life wasn't easy after her husband past away at a young age, leaving her & two young daughters. Being who she was with a lot of determination, she was very successful with everything she wanted to do. She never gave up on anything. She always found a way to be very creative with her beautiful hand work, making quilts the old fashion way, knitting many things, leggings, socks, mittens, small dolls etc. She enjoyed baking homemade bread, buns, short bread, cookies of all kinds. She always had a beautiful garden, many flowers of all sorts, we'd pick the flower seeds & saved them to plant in the spring, the ones that come up every year. Raspberry plants were harvested & many packages of frozen ones in the freezer for later. Her raspberry squares were to die for. Bea loved dressing up in old vintage clothes & really enjoyed wearing her large collection of hats, to many church functions & always looked "Great". She was also a very talented actress & enjoyed taking part in many plays at church functions & halls. She was very expressive naturally. It all came from her heart. We will miss this interesting Lady, but know her hands will always be busy there in heaven. She probably has a few pair of leggings or socks already made for someone special, that needs a pair. She was an inspiration to so many of us that knew her & passed her talents also to her daughters & grandchildren!! Rest in Peace Bea, you'll never be forgotten~ ~ She has been a Blessing to me .
Condolences to you & Family, Joyce & Bill from Prescott on where Bea lived for many years.
