Obituary of Betty-Anne Faye Zwicker

ZWICKER, Betty-Anne Faye – Age 63 of New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2018 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late John Laurie and Nellie Marguerite (Burgoyne) Russell. Betty loved flowers and spending time working in her gardens around the house.

She always enjoyed the outdoors and especially walking the trails for exercise. Betty always loved her family and friends and during her illness, she was always so thankful of the outpouring of support that was shown to her, the visits and the food brought to her home. She and her family were so very appreciative of the care that was provided by the Victorian Order of Nurses and the staff of South Shore Regional Hospital.

She will be forever loved and missed by her husband, Arthur “Joe” Zwicker; son, Michael (Tracey), Simpsons Corner and her special granddaughter, Janiah Oickle-Zwicker, step-grandson, Jonathan; her brothers and sisters, Sherman (Valerie) Russell, Fancy Lake; Bev Russell, Meisner Section; Valerie (Frank) Veinot, Cornwall; Sherry (Mike) DeLong, Meisner Section; Lucille Russell (Rex Rhodenizer), Greenfield; Nancy Hogg (William Lane), Western Shore; Annette Nowe (Chris Rice), Dartmouth and her many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Charlotte Tucken and Marcella Crouse and brother, Owen Russell.

Betty’s personal wishes were that there will be no service held. Donations in her memory may be made to the New Germany and Area Medical Centre, Canadian Cancer Society or South Shore Regional Hospital – palliative care services.
