Obituary of Elaine Mildred Thornhill
THORNHILL, Elaine Mildred (Wournell) - Age 74, of Rhodes Corner passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 26th at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Elaine was born and raised in Tufts Cove, Dartmouth February 8th 1943.

She and her family later moved to Bridgewater (Rhodes Corner) where she raised 5 children and 14 grandchildren, her pride and joy. She worked at Moirs Chocolate Factory, Dartmouth and as a duty teacher at Centre Consolidated School. Some of her favourite times were spent with family, eating, laughing and playing games at every opportunity. She was a proud member of the Secret Pals Club and thoroughly enjoyed researching her family tree and reconnecting with old friends and family online. Summers at family cottages were another sure way to see a smile come across Elaine's face.
She is predeceased by her husband of 54 years Norman; her siblings, Reginald (Pat), Doris, Sharon, Victor, Michael and parents, Arthur and Nellie.
She is survived by her brother, Bernie (Diane); children, Stephen (Kelly) Thornhill, Christine (Blaine) Herman, Kathy (Jon) Sutton, Tracey (Paul) Tanner, Daniel (Nancy) Thornhill; the grandchildren Nana was so proud of; Beth-Ann, Shae, Jenna, Delaney, Kennedy Thornhill; Kirk Herman; Courtney, Patrick, Christopher Sutton; Allie, Codey, Logan Tanner; Brody, and Owen Thornhill; 4 great-grandchildren.

Her quick wit and sarcastic comments... "Oh please" would keep everyone in the room laughing and it was her personality that will make her impossible to forget.
