We were saddened to learn of Aunt Iva's passing. We are thinking of the family and close friends during this time.
Over the years we have shared many memories with Aunt Iva. We will remember her in many positive ways - with a big smile, great sense of humor, and always having a great story from her childhood or teaching days. Aunt Iva had a love for preserving family history and as are grateful for all her hard work that has gone into documenting our family genealogy.
Aunt Iva was a caring and welcoming person who always encouraged you to stop in on your travels through town. She enjoyed having visitors.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Aunt Iva's passing. Our thoughts and condolences are with the family during this time.
Aunt Iva was a very passionate and independent woman. She was a faithful and caring person, who enjoyed the company of others and opening her house to her family and friends for visits. She would always ask "how are you" as soon as she saw you at her door.
I have many fond memories of Aunt Iva; from watching the Bridgewater Exhibition parade on the grass in front of her house to all the help she provided when I had to complete a school project on our family genealogy - she was certainly a record keeper. Also, I always enjoyed listening to Aunt Iva's stories from her teaching days.
Aunt Iva will be sadly missed but warmly remembered by us.

My condolences to the family. Iva was a wonderfully caring person who will be missed by many. She had an open door policy to her home and always made her guests extremely welcome. I thoroughly enjoyed my stays with her and my uncle Wilfred, her companion / partner, over the years. After his passing, Iva insisted that I continue to visit as our friendship grew. Thank you Iva for your stories of our families along the river! She will be missed.

Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Iva through the years will remember her as a very special, caring person. She loved to have visitors to her home and you were always welcomed with a Hug. Our condolences to all family on the passing of Iva. She was an outstanding woman in so many ways including her life long devotion to children's education. Iva was an active and persuasive person in her church and community and was always determined that things had to be properly done whatever the issue she tackled.We throughly enjoyed her three visits to our home here in St Johns with Wilfred on the occasion of our daughter' Donette and husband Jon 's wedding and the christening of their two daughters Maria and Abby. She was also instrumental with her persuasive ways in getting Wilfred to travel to New Hampshire for granddaughter Danielle's wedding . We shall ever be thankful to her for that. We considered her as part of our family and we often told her that and she had a constant interest in the major events of our children and grandchildren's lives. You were my grade 4 teacher and a special friend. You always called me by my maiden name, Peggy Orchard, if you introduced me to anyone. I will miss our visits and chats. You had a long life and impacted many students. I am so glad we stayed in touch for all these years. Til we meet again....
