Obituary of E. Rosaleen Blanche Manthorne

MANTHORNE, Eldora Rosaleen Blanch – Age 95, of Oakhill, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Rose Bay, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Jeanette (Mossman) Meisner.

Surviving are her husband, David Michael Manthorne; daughters, Joan Belot, Pine Grove; Mary Harmon, Upper LaHave; Brenda Eichel, Pine Grove; Sharon Rawding, Bridgewater; Debbie (Sheldon Thompson), Pine Grove; sons, Wayne (Sandra) Knickle, Bridgewater; Michael (Crystal) Manthorne, Pine Grove.

Grandchildren, George Jr., Bonita, Blaine, Robin, Paula, Shawndell, David, Gail, Nancy, Stephen, Richard, Jennifer, Makena. Several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces, Eileen and Joan; nephew, Charles.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Muriel Cook; brothers, James and Freeman; great-granddaughter, Grace.

Visitation will be 7-9 p.m., Monday, March 5 and service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2018 both in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater with Rev. Paul Jensen officiating. Family flowers only please, donations may be made to the South Shore Regional Hospital or charity of choice. The family would like to thank the staff of South Shore Regional Hospital for their care and especially Dr .Harrison.
