May I extend sincerest condolences to Celia's family; our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I first met Celia forty years ago when I came to Halifax as Chief Embalmer at Cruikshank's Halifax Funeral Home and Mattatall's Funeral Home, Dartmouth. Celia was the receptionist and her sister Anne worked in the business office alongside us. Over the years we had so many enlightening conversations on world and current events, shared awesome family stories and enjoyed so many a 'lunch-time' laugh. Ceila showed me how to do crypto quotes, and with thanks to her, I still do them proficiently today. It was truly an era of great camaraderie. When Celia retired, she gave me one of her small oil paintings she had painted, of a woman sitting on a rock in the ocean. She always said I had so helped hold things together at work and she often referred to me, as "her rock." Unfortunately, we lost contact a few years ago, but always maintained that special connection. We have been blessed with so many, many wonderful memories. Celia, "God's Speed and enjoy that wonderful reunion on the other side with our dear Anne, Ralph and all your family who have gone on before."
