Vicki and Patti:
We were shocked and saddened to read of your father's passing. I saw him several times at Harbour View on his regular, loving visits to your mother singing and playing his ukulele for her. I think he was the last of the original Parkdale Avenue neighbours. Both my mother and I send our condolences to you and mother. Hang on to your memories.

Dear Vicki & Patti,
My thoughts and prayers are with you on this day as you remember your dad. He was such a wonderful and happy man always smiling. I seen uncle Halley about a month ago and as always a big smile on his face. Hailey wanted me to pass along her sympathy as well as he was like a grandfather to her. He always said that after dad passed away he became her adoptive grandfather and she will always love him for that. We would have so loved to have been there today but Hailey's schedule would not allow it. He will always be in our hearts.

We were so sorry to learn of Halley's passing. We have been thinking about Harold and Phyllis the last couple of days. We have such fond memories of them both from our years at Bridgewater United Church. How we loved to hear Halley laugh. He was such a good sport, and he contributed so much. He was a faithful choir member and such a significant part of the church's life.
We know that he and Phyllis were a great team. They loved each other and they loved life. What a joy it was to watch them get up and dance at any opportunity. We were well aware of the wonderful care that Halley provided Phyllis these past years. We remember him spending time with her in nursing home. He did that faithfully, first driving over to the Valley and then to Lunenburg. We know that you have experienced a tremendous loss in your lives. Be assured that we will be thinking of your family on Tuesday, and in the days to come.
Sincere condolences,
Ivan & Judy Norton

So sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. I remember growing up across the street from your parents home. Your Dad always seemed to be smiling. He was a great help to my parents in their later years by plowing their driveway and mowing their lawn. I am sure you will miss him greatly. Thinking of you at this sad time.

Well I am very sad to learn of the passing of a great person. I sang with him in the "Sons of the Sea" Barbershop Quartet Choir when I was 14 and until I was 18. I enjoyed spending time with Mr. Wilneff. I ran into him again at Harbour View Haven a while ago and he was visiting his wife and carrying an instrument which he played for her when he was there. We reminisced and I was so happy to have a chance to see him again. The group of men who spent those Monday nights singing and teaching me were some of the most memorable times I can recall from my youth. I was the youngest member of a group whose average age was close to 70. I will not forget his kindness and concern. My sincere condolences to his entire family at this time. I know his music touched a great number of people and I continue to sing today thinking of him fondly.

I first met Hallie when he sang with Sons Of The Sea and the United Men's Church Choir years ago but got to know him much better when Phyllis went to live at Harbour View Haven where I worked in Therapeutic Services for many years. He would often (pretty much always) bring one of his instruments in and entertain residents and the love he and Phyllis had for each other for all their years together was always so evident. A wonderful kind and caring person. I send my sincere condolences to all of his family.
