Obituary of William Mansfield Fralic Jr.
FRALIC, William “Bill” Mansfield Jr. – It is with great sadness that the family of William “Bill” Mansfield Fralic Jr. inform you of his sudden passing on Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 in Lunenburg. Bill had just turned 54. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Annette (Cleveland); daughter, Clarissa, and son, Logan. Bill was predeceased by his father, William Mansfield Fralic Sr. and his mother, Sylvia Grace (Corkum) Fralic. Bill was born in Halifax and grew up in Dartmouth. He spent much of his time in Greenfield at his parents’ cottage in Bear Falls. His love of the outdoors carried him through all seasons including hunting, fishing and guiding. He looked forward to the fall hunting season every year, taking his vacation time to pursue the elusive buck. Only the foulest of weather and the thickest of black flies could keep him inside. He competed in the Lumberjack sports in his early 20’s for a few years. He was forever tinkering in his yard or garage on projects or fixing a friends vehicle. He and his son shared a love of being on the water, where he was every chance he had. Recently he became an avid local hockey fan, attending games with his daughter, Clarissa, with a plan to become a season ticket holder for the next season. His weekends would not be complete without a few hours spent watching a NASCAR race. Bill was a machinist with IMP Burnside until he started at Michelin in 1989 as an Industrial Mechanic. His retirement was planned for 2019 where he was excited to try his hand at crab fishing. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Cornwall Fire Hall on Saturday, June 16th, 2018 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. No flowers by request. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
