Obituary of Nelson Owen Seldon

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and brother, Nelson Seldon on July 10, 2018. Nelson was born in Caledonia, Queens County on May 16, 1948, to Lochland and Jean ( Carver ) Seldon. He started his career as a mechanic at Mervin Selig’s garage in Caledonia and retired from Changing Seasons in Harrietsfield, having worked in his field for over fifty years.  After he  etired , he moved  to his cottage on Mack Lake. He is survived by his son, James ( Samantha ), his daughter, Cynthia Nicole, his grandchildren, Michaela, Christian, and Mackenzie, his sister Florence ( Robert ) Douglas, his brothers, John ( Wendy ), Basil ( Catherine ), the mother of his children , Barbara (Chuck) Dickens,  and his sister in law, Joyce Seldon. He is also survived by a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his son Owen,  his parents, his brothers, Lawrence, Francis, his sisters, Alwilda Zwicker, Gertrude  Selig, and Marie Montgomery.  Nelson’s wishes were for no formal service. A gathering of friends to celebrate his life will be held on July  13 at 1pm  at the Community Hall in East Dalhousie.
