Obituary of Pauline Althea Whynot
WHYNOT, Pauline Althea – It is with great sadness that the family of Pauline Althea Whynot (Lowe), age 99, of Halifax, formerly of Bridgewater, announce her peaceful passing on August 23rd, 2018 in Northwood Center, Halifax.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Ladies Auxiliary. She loved and looked forward to spending time with her family. Originally a farm girl from Cookeville; Polly brought her work ethic and love of growing a garden, to jobs at Rofihes and other Bridgewater retailers and to her own backyard where her grandchildren relished in picking fresh peas, carrots and flowers from Polly’s beautiful garden.
Pauline is survived by her children, Susan (Alan) and Janet (Derek); grandchildren, Tanya (Sean), Michael, Erin (Kris) and Heather (Matthew); great-grandchildren, Spencer, Henry, Wyatt, Zachary and Merrick. She was predeceased by her parents, Collins and Beatrice; her beloved husband, Edward; sister, Lucille.
The family wishes to acknowledge with thanks the very special care givers of William County Homes (Hilden) and Northwood Center (Halifax).
A Celebration of her Life will take place on Saturday, September 1st, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater, with a reception to follow. Rev. Willis Ott officiating. There will be no visitation. An internment will be held in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater following the service.
