Obituary of Arthur Garry Flemming

FLEMMING, Arthur Garry - Age 68, of Meisner's Section, passed away suddenly on November 13, 2018 in Red Deer, Alberta. Arthur was born in New Germany to the late Berlyn William and Beulah (Hull) Flemming on August 7, 1950.

He went to school in New Germany and spent his life working as a Heavy Duty Mechanic. He was a proud and long standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 102, New Germany. Arthur was a loving spouse and father to Mary and her four children. There were many happy years spent hunting, fishing, camping and at summer blue grass festivals. He was an honorable man and his biggest love was taking care of his family. He will missed by all who knew him and loved him, because they were one and the same.

Arthur is survived by his children, Maureen Everick (Leggette) and Richard; Middle Sackville; Michael Leggette and Sandra; Didsbury, Alberta; Marlene Hendsbee (Leggette) and Blair, Country Harbour; Mathew Leggette and Jenn, Calgary, Alberta; grandchildren, Teresa Connolly, Ashley Leggette, Alicia Leggette, Amber Leggette, David Hirtle, James Hirtle, Candis Marchand (Hirtle), Blake Leggette, Jason Hebert, Shakiah Leggette, and Alix Radu; 16 great grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Flemming and Sherwood Flemming; sisters, Margaret Flemming and Arlene Flemming. He is predeceased by his parents, Berlyn and Beulah Flemming; spouse, Mary Leggette.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, New Germany. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, North River, on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at noon with Pastor Dave Whynot officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery, North River.
