Obituary of Jane Elizabeth Oickle

Jane Elizabeth (Nauss) Oickle (1957 – 2018)

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Jane’s passing.  On the morning of November 23, 2018 Jane passed away peacefully in her home. 

Jane was an inspirational woman.  She loved with her whole heart and had faith in what would be.  It was the simple things life had to offer that brought her the most joy.  Time with family, fishing, walks on the beach, listening to music and curling up with a good book and a hot cup of tea were some of the things she enjoyed the most.  Her sense of humor, laughter and smile will be missed by many.

Jane was a devoted wife to her husband of 43 years, Paul.  Through all the ups and downs that life had to offer their love shone bright.  She raised their three children with unwavering love and instilled in them the belief they could accomplish anything they set their hearts and minds to.  Her children Samantha (Matthew), Paul (Kristine) and Roxanne (Murray) will be eternally grateful for having had her in their lives.  Jane will also be remembered by her six grandchildren Rachyl (John), Martin, Tristan, Rosalyn, Olivia and Mitchell.

Jane was the daughter of the late Douglas and Myrtle (McKinnon) Nauss of Riverport, NS.  The youngest of seven siblings, she was predeceased by nephew Matty, who she loved dearly and sister, Marie (Art). She is survived by Jimmy (Beverly), Cassie, Nancy (Vincent), Pam and Sally and numerous loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with her wishes, an intimate and casual Celebration of Life will be held at the home of her son located at 1622 Highway 331, Pleasantville, NS on November 30, 2018 between 1 pm and 5 pm.  Please know there will not be a formal service and we ask that close family and friends stop in to share memories and a hot cup of tea.
