He was a gentle old soul. Never spoke a mean word.
So I send my condolences to his family, they will miss him the most. I know from experience the pain fades but his warm love remains.

Ricky, Vernon, and families; our sincerest condolences to you all.
So sad to hear this; Irving was one of the good ones. I (Scott) spent many hours hanging out in his little body shop next to the house when I was in my teens, and gained knowledge from the stories and bits of wisdom he would share. Always cheerful, and never a bad word to say about anyone. Later I would visit with him and Marion when they ran the restaurant in the house; Marion would tell stories of her then young grand children, of whom she was obviously very proud. I only talked with Irving a couple of times in the last ten years, but if he spotted me in a store, he would come walking right over to ask how things were going, how was the family, etc., and we would yarn for awhile.
