Obituary of Lillian Belle Hebb
HEBB, Lillian Belle – Age 99 passed away peacefully at Hillside Pines on January 30, 2019. Born in Midville Branch on November 25, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Stella (Eisnor) Emeneau. She was the oldest of three children, Wallace Emeneau (deceased) and Violet (Emeneau) Manthorne, currently residing at Hillside Pines.
As a young girl she traveled to Boston to work. Returning eventually to Bridgewater to live on King Street in a one bedroom apartment with her sister, Violet. She worked in a beauty salon learning her skills, which she used later in life. Doing home perms and cuts for her community of friends that often visited while she was raising her family. Ladies group and church involved her years as she got older.
She married Lloyd E. Hebb from Hebbville in 1946 and the marriage lasted 63 years until his death in 2009. She had three sons, Lemuel E. (Heather) Hebb, Gregory G. (Marg) Hebb and Paul L. (Joanne) Hebb. Gregory died in 2010 and was much missed by mom. She loved and enjoyed her seven grandchildren, Lem, Patrick, Freya, Sean, Caila, Kathryne and Elizabeth. She was blessed and enjoyed her time with her twelve great grandchildren, Brodie, Sydney, Kennedy, Avery, Jordan, Ethan, Gabriel, Sophie, Silas, Mauve, Kai and Myka.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2019 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bridgewater with Rev. Paul Jensen officiating. An interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made through Sweeny’s funeral Home to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or a Charity of choice. No flowers by request.
