Obituary of Rita Ann Sutton

of Rita Ann Sutton (Rafuse) 61, of Wentzells Lake, Lunenburg County, passed away June 17, 2008 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Born in Bridgewater, Rita was a daughter of the late Clifford and Phyllis (Conrad) Rafuse. After attending school in Bridgewater, Rita was employed at the Stedman and Metropolitan stores. In 1971 she joined the staff at the local Canadian Tire Store as the sports department supervisor until 1977 when she joined her husband in their business, Thru-Way Muffler Centre. Rita enjoyed gardening, helping others and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Wayne; sisters, Kathy (Russell) Guest, West Northfield; Elaine (Merle) Zinck, Lower Northfield; brothers, Raymond (Linda) Wentzell Lake; Jack (Marena), Centre; many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7 – 9 p.m. at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Memorial service will be held at Sweeny’s Funeral Home on 11am Friday with Rev. Anna Hoeg officiating. Family flowers only donations may be made to a charity of choice.
