I grew up living next door to Darlene and Marguerite and my sister Tena and I would play by the hours with them.
In the early seventies when Darlene had completed her degree in Nursing, she had moved to Halifax to start her career in Nursing. I had moved to Halifax at the same time to complete a degree in Pharmacy at Dalhousie University. During my first year Darlene home was my home away from home. She never complain seeing this young kid from Hartland and I have always been thankful for Darlene in helping me make the adjustment from Hartland to Halifax.
To Necedah and Marguerite I am so very sorry for this huge loss. I loved your sisters sense of humor and her down home charm. To her sons, please accept my sympathies as your Mom was someone I have known my entire life and you should be proud of what she has accomplished during her lifetime and for the love she has given you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during these next few very difficult days.
