Obituary of Janice Laura Doull

We are sad to announce the passing of Dr. Janice Laura Doull, in Bridgewater Nova Scotia on May 30, 2019.  A memorial service was held at St. Marks Church, Broad Cove, Nova Scotia on June 3 with a reception at the Cherry Hill Fire Hall.

Janice was born in Truro Nova Scotia on February 16, 1957 and lived with her family in Amherst NS, Grand Falls Newfoundland, Liverpool NS, Fredericton NB, and Halifax NS where she attended Dalhousie University and received her PhD in Microbiology. She spent 2 years in Scotland working on postdoctoral research at the University of Edinburgh. On return to Canada she worked in the research lab of Dr. Leo Vining, and later was on faculty at Mt. St. Vincent University in Halifax.

After an early retirement, she moved to the south shore of Nova Scotia and the community of Broad Cove and later Bridgewater where she loved to spend time with her companion Dave, and with her family.

She is survived by her parents, Reigh and Marion Bustin; son, John Doull; siblings, Susan Buis; Peter Bustin, his wife Holly and their children Anna, Kate and Matthew and her Aunt Jeanette Denton.
