Obituary of Marion Ada Hammond

HAMMOND (Doody), Marion Ada – Age 94, of Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., NS, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the South Shore Regional Hospital.  Born in West Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late George V. and M. Louise (Currie) Doody.

Marion had a wonderful and long life.  She had many adventures and made many memories with Frank, her one love and husband of 72 years, and with their family and many friends.  Marion died, as she lived, with grace, dignity and on her own terms.    

Marion is survived by sons, David (Geri), Summerside PE; Roger (Peggy Gates), Dartmouth; Paul, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Michelle, Chris, Sam, Susan; and great grandchildren, Braeden and Naomi.  Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband, Frank (Francis Allen A. Hammond) and her sister, Doris E. (Doody) Donner of Saint John, NB.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater. There will be no visitation by request. Private family burial will follow at a later date.
