Obituary of Elsie May Veinot

of Elsie May Veinot 94, New Germany, Lunenburg County, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2008 in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany, where she had been residing. Born in New Germany, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Eldora (Lowe) Tipert. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a telephone operator; after retirement, she enjoyed traveling. She was an avid bowler with the New Germany and Area Senior’s Bowling League; she was a member of St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church and Rosedale New Horizons Senior’s Club. Surviving are her daughter, Madeline (Garth) Bishop, New Germany; son, Nelson (Velma), New Germany; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Darlene) Bishop, Stephen Bishop, Dean Bishop, Terry Veinot, Kelly (Andrew) Russell; great grandchildren, Jan and Travis Bishop, Kayla Russell, Mitchell and Brett Veinot; sister, Margaret Ward, Bridgewater; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Randolph; great grandson, Brandon Russell; sisters, Meda Whynot, Edith Poole, Amy Meisner; brothers, Layton, Reginald and Maxwell. No visitation at the funeral home by request. Service 2 p.m. Friday, August 1, in St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany. Rev. Anna Hoeg officiating. Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Immediate family flowers only, donations may be made to New Germany and Area Medical Centre, St. John in the Wilderness Anglican Church, Rosedale Home for Special Care.
