Obituary of Therese "Terry" House

HOUSE, Therese “Terry” Marie – Age 87, of Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Wedgeport, she was a daughter of the late William and Rose (Doucette) Cottreau. Terry was a member of Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater. She was an avid bingo player where she made many friends over the years. Terry truly loved her family as they meant the world to her.

Surviving are her daughters, Karen (John) Whynot, Big Lots; Michelle Tipert, Bridgewater; son, Brian (Tracey) House, Bridgewater; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jason), Jessica (Suley), Jonathan (Olivia), Ben (Leah), Kyle and Alana; great-grandchildren, Ryland, Gemma, Hunter, Jackson, Rylee, Kinsley and Madison; her sisters, Claire Sovran and Lucille (Mike) Wingate, all of Mississauga; Veronica (Donald) Hubbard, Yarmouth.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Frederick J.M. House; sisters, Irene Surette, Josephine Doucette and brother, Clarence Cottreau.

Visitation 7-9 p.m., Friday (today) in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater. Funeral mass will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, November 2 in Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bridgewater. Father Jim O’Connor officiating. Private family interment will follow in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Blood Services, South Shore Regional Hospital or a charity of choice. The family ask, that in remembrance of their mother, please consider donating blood.
