So sorry Blaine and family for your loss. I always liked Bernard. He had a nice way about him although he would tell you what he thought whether you wanted to hear it or not. He also reminded me so much of my own father. They had the same mannerisms and you could tell they were brothers. The last time I saw him was at Shirley's funeral. (3 years ago) when we went up to Bernard's for a short visit. It will feel different to not have him at the old homestead. Lots of memories over the years. All the best to you folks! Marsha Mailman and family.

To Blaine, Julie and family, my deepest sympathy for the passing of Bernard. This sad news makes me reflect on the years I knew Bernard when I was a boy growing up in Lake Pleasant, coasting on his "big hill" in the winter, helping him in his hayfields in the summertime, tagging along with Dad when he went for visits, and then later as an adult the great conversations that often happened around his barn, or as he put up fences for his oxen around our fields.
May great memories help in the days ahead. He will be greatly missed.
