So sorry to hear of David's passing. I have many fond memories of David from our childhood days in Morrin. It's been years since I saw David, the last time being in Westbank. My sincere condolences to the family.

I was shocked today when I received the phone call from a friend in Morrin, AB, that David had passed away. I am very sorry to hear that and my thoughts and prayers are with all the family at this difficult time. David and I grew up in Morrin and then attended university in Calgary at the same time. I called him a few years ago as I had visited at one point in Kelowna and was going back to visit the area. To my surprise I located him in Mahone Bay. We had a good visit on the phone but did not get a chance to reconnect. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family.

Eileen and family, please accept our heartfelt sympathy for your loss. We were saddened to hear of Dave's passing. I knew Dave well from our early years of working together starting at the Calgary Motor Vehicle Branch, Alta Probation and the John Howard Society. My husband knew him from the Calgary Remand Booking office. Many happy memories with lots of laughs: his Camero (and other cars?), Krachinkas, music(Elvis Presley?) all shared with lots of happy times socializing through those years!
Thoughts of Dave will always warm my heart and I can honestly say Dave has left many footprints of kindness, compassion, humour, loyalty and mostly love for his family and friends which all of us who were lucky to know him can be comforted by.

Just over a week ago we were discussing your upcoming trip & how much you were looking forward to basking in the sunshine & warmth of Mexico. You however, did not make any mention of this side trip that you are presently on. Dave, you have been a great friend for many years & I for one shall miss you........but I'm sure not as much as Eileen.

Helmut.Your dry ,witty sense of humour was much enjoyed by David. The memories he shared of fishing ,outdoor tales with you ,Dave ,Wayne and other close friends sustained him during his health struggles. When you next go to Cuba,and are sitting with a book on the beach,drink in hand,remember him ,and the wonderful man he was.. Eileenbe4pd
